The Faithful

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
(Revelation 17:3-14)

This is not a teaching on the end-times, but of faithfulness, of enduring to the end. Which is the only way that we shall be privileged in becoming citizens of the Kingdom of God.

Yes, the term "fundamental" concerning the writings on this web site1 are familiar; and true, because that is just what God is and expects of us. Nothing more and nothing less.
It is easy to do because all we have to do is follow God's will. We do this by studying God's written word and being led by God's Holy Spirit.
It is also very difficult to do because God's enemy is the god of this world and he can feed our sinful lusts. Moreover, as we can see if we look, legislation that is being formulated is quietly coming on to the statute books of many countries, including ours, and when Satan's time is ripe all these laws will suddenly come into effect and the "global village" shall become one large concentration camp. There shall be nowhere to emigrate to . . . except ~ ~ ~.
Without faith - no hope.

If we act as ostriches are alleged to; putting our heads in the sands of emotion when tribulation comes our way, we shall be caught unawares and probably spend eternity with Satan. Nice thought.

There is an old English saying "practice makes perfect", and only if you and I can keep practising (with many failures) to be one of the citizens of the King, can we each become one of the called, and chosen, and faithful.

It is claimed in some quarters that there are some forty thousand denominations and cults that follow the name of Jesus Christ.
Why? There is only one Jesus Christ and only one way to gain His passport.
One Book of the Road that maps out the Way.
One Holy Spirit.

Do you know that the following statement is illegal to say in our country?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(John 14:6)
When will the legislation come into effect and the "perpetrators" be punished with torture and death as so many millions have already been?
Ridiculous?
Have you ever read even a few pages of the book "Fox's Book of Martyrs"?
Christians willingly went to death knowing that they were going to a better place; one without Satan!
This is the Victory that is ours to gain; that Satan has no power over us beyond death.
Hallelujah!

Do you believe that the words in the first passage of Scripture above will actually happen?

*A Psalm of David.* LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
(Psalms 15:1-2)
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
(Colossians 3:1-3)
