Obedience to Authority
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
(Romans 13:1-7)
This is a commandment of God, so even though we don't agree with the policy of that authority, we must be obedient out of love for our Lord, setting our affection on things above and not on things on the earth.

In the following passage we see the reason why:
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
(Psalms 33:6-16)

There are certain laws in every country that are plainly there for the benefit of a few selected people of power. For example, here in South Africa it's illegal to deal in diamonds, nor are we allowed to own gold bars, minerals that come out of our own ground. This is clearly done so that money can be manipulated to their advantage.

Ex President Mandela, when confronted by the fact of unprecedented crime levels and the outcry associated therewith, in reply to the plea in parliament for the reinstatement of the death penalty, stated publicly something like "I promised those who helped me into power that there would be no death penalty."
By his actions and statements, Mr Mandela has proved to be a righteous man in his personal life, but was forced into agreeing with certain secret requirements of the world authorities so that their (and Satan's) "global village" plan could be put into action here in South Africa.

However, these are temporal laws and the perpetrators and upholders of them shall stand before the Lord God Himself.

There are also certain laws in the making that shall turn the world upside down, ones whose evil is hidden by an apparently good reason and the governments who promulgate such laws protect themselves from prosecution.

One law that is almost universally adopted in the "free" economies of the world, is that while you are innocent until proven guilty when accused of a crime, in the case of suspected tax evasion you are guilty until you yourself prove your innocence. You bear all the costs and have all the trouble. The IRS only has to accuse you and then sit back. This is the specific case of a man in the United States of America whose business was destroyed because the IRS suspected him of tax evasion. They seized his computers, the source of his income, and a year or so later returned the "evidence" with a "sorry". That his business was in ruins and his private life in tatters was no concern of theirs.

Here in South Africa there is a law and a specific police unit to enforce it, that allows confiscation of one's assets (money again) if one is even suspected of being a criminal. Now we know that lawyers cost money and this pernicious law means that the suspect has no recourse to his defence.

We are shown in the Bible that the god of this world is Satan:
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
that he is doing God's will:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
(Genesis 3:15)
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
(Isaiah 53:10)
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
(Isaiah 54:16)
and that he will turn the world and its laws upside down:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
(Isaiah 5:20)
Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
(Mark 13:12-13)

But we are still to obey the laws of the land.

Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ said:
Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
(Matthew 23:1-3)
Paul, near the end of his public ministry, said:
And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
(Acts 23:1-5)

So, if the next logical step is to declare that all professing Christians are criminals (it sounds crazy now doesn't it), perhaps because they will not have Satan's mark placed on them, all their assets will be forfeit to the state and there shall be no procurable expert legal advice.
Knowing that most Christians are pretty inoffensive, law abiding and meek citizens, this sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it?
Yes, if we look at worldly values. Remember about the lilies of the field in Matthew six?

However, now Satan and his minions, "the merchants of the earth", are coming up against Almighty God and His servants:
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
(Isaiah 51:6-8)
and when laws such as "It is illegal to read or to own a Bible" are passed, we are to disregard them and when the Bible confiscators come knocking on your door you are entitled to lie to them because now the authorities have come against the law of God!

Here's the word of God:
And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
(Exodus 1:13-21)
And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country. And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country. And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were: And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.
(Joshua 2:1-6)
Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
(Acts 5:25-29)

President Mbeki has just signed the Equality Bill into law.
This is similar to the one in the "Land of the Free" where the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may not be mentioned in the classroom in case someone becomes offended.
To give it its proper name "The Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination" Bill has the Christian community up in arms because it will allow homosexuals and other perverse and dangerous persons to sue churches for not allowing them to become members, or refusing them to become principals of "Christian Schools" etc.
Further, the person or organisation so accused has to prove their innocence.
As this is against God's will, what will the church organisations do? Obey God or man?

You see, we are entering the era where the true church shall once again be forced underground, where web sites such as this one shall disappear, or mysteriously have their content altered.

While on the subject and as a matter of interest: Many, many attempts have been made to register this web site on the major search engines. For a short while there is success, but because the Truth is taught, one of Satan's minions probably objects that the site is offensive and the listing is removed. Try and find this site on Yahoo!, etc.

Nevertheless, you are reading these words because you have been led here by the Holy Spirit and when the site disappears from off the "Airwaves", you at least, have been uplifted by the Spirit of the Lord.

So, going full circle, be subject to the higher powers, render to all their dues, until the law or will of God is disobeyed.

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
(Luke 12:4-5)
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
(Luke 12:29-32
